Simplex pipeline strainers from Eaton Filtration are designed to remove damage-causing particulate matter from the process media, protecting system components such as flow meters, pumps and spray nozzles.
The particulate matter is captured in the strainer basket. The line is then temporarily shut down and the basket removed for cleaning or replacement.
A continuous lining of fluoropolymer resin makes these pipeline strainers a low cost alternative to expensive alloy strainers in a wide variety of lined piping applications. The basic design of the Model 72L is that of Eaton’s popular Model 72, tested and time-proven with more than a million units installed over the past 70 years.
The fluoropolymer lining is inert to strong mineral acids, inorganic gases, halogens and metal salt solutions. Service temperatures can range up to 300°F in most applications.
The lining also displays excellent mechanical strength when handling abrasive slurries. Even the strainer baskets are coated. Baskets made of Monel or Hastelloy C276 are also available for specific applications that require them.
