Now available from Eaton Filtration , the Model 510 Multibasket Simplex Strainer removes damage causing particulate matter from the process media, protecting system components such as flow meters, pumps, and spray nozzles.
The particulate matter removed by the multibasket simplex strainer is captured in the strainer basket. The line is then temporarily shut down and the baskets removed for cleaning or replacement.
There are four baskets per simplex strainer, making it possible to have a compact unit with a very low profile, ideal for those tight installations where space is a problem.
The baskets of these simplex strainers feature a large open area ratio and have a high dirt holding capacity, meaning there is a longer cycle between clean out. As the baskets are small, it is also possible for one person to clean them easily and quickly. The unique Eaton Filtration angled basket tops also allow direct fluid entry and result in a low pressure drop.
Large size simplex strainers from Eaton Filtration are designed to handle very large volumes of fluid (up to 40,000 GPM) and are used in the electric power and primary metals industries for cleaning cooling water. They are also widely used in the paper, sewage and water treatment industries. The petroleum industry uses these large simplex strainers to remove dirt, gums, and tars from oil and oil products.
