LM50-TCP centralisation unit for energy management system applications
LM50-TCP centralisation unit for energy management system applications

Eaton Electric Systems  have announced the availability of the centralisation unit LM50-TCP for energy management system applications packed with features. The LM50-TCP centralisation units are designed to record KWH energy pulses as well as gas and water pulses. The LM50-TCP centralisation unit is DIN rail mount with dimensions of 158x90x59mm.

The LM50-TCP centralisation unit is compatible with all the Circutor energy meters as well with other brand energy meters with the remark that the duration of the pulse should not be less than 100 milliseconds (50 milliseconds for ON plus 50 milliseconds for OFF). The LM50-TCP centralisation unit can accept up to fifty (50) energy meters as opto-coupled inputs by connecting one wire from each meter to the respective LM50-TCP input and looping the common.

The LM50-TCP centralisation unit is powered with a standard 240V AC single phase. The LM50-TCP centralisation unit is built-in with retentive memory that can hold the data even if a power failure occurred. The LM50-TCP centralisation unit acts as a gateway to interface up to 31 RS485 devices connected in a daisy chain configuration.

All the data in the LM50-TCP centralisation unit’s memory (from 50 inputs and RS485 devices) can be communicated through an RJ45 Ethernet using a UDP or TCP protocol (selectable) and can be interfaced to a BMS/PLC systems or central management PC. Each memory register is 32 bits and therefore up to FFFF FFFF in hexadecimal equivalent to 4,294,967,295 pulses can be reached before starting again from zero.
