Eaton Electric Systems ’ new 3G DC UPS system is designed for DC powering of converged data networks and low power telecommunications equipment where compact, efficient and flexible DC power systems are required.
The 19-inch rack mounted EPS series is available with up to two or five. Access 48V rectifier modules provide a total output capacity of up to 4500W. The DC UPS system is controlled by Eaton Electric Systems’ SC200 system controller, which features a front access USB port for the system setup along with a RS232 rear port and a 10BaseT Ethernet port for remote networking and communications.
Eaton Electric Systems’ DC UPS systems have fewer conversion stages than comparable AC UPS systems, providing greater efficiency. Modular by nature, the DC UPS systems ensure that capacity can be matched to load requirements so that optimal system efficiency profiles are better achieved. The DC UPS system has long been a part of the telecom architecture and provides greater simplicity and reliability.
