Eaton Electric Systems have announced that the Eaton ETA ATB8 stainless steel floor mount cabinet range is now certified to IP66 ingress protection rating for all single door type enclosures in the ‘ATB8’ range.
This certification now makes the Eaton ATB8 stainless steel cabinet range suitable for environments where moisture or dust ingress maybe an issue. This includes locations such as food processing, corrosive environments and outdoor applications, including mining and ship loading terminals.
According to Peter Brisbane, Product Manager, Eaton Industries, previously, the Eaton ATB8 cabinet was suitable for IP55. The certification allows Eaton to provide a much needed solution for a diverse set of industries which require additional climatic and environmental protection.
The ATB8 range is available in both 304L and 316L grade stainless steel in 12 standard sizes. Ranging from width of 600mm, 800mm and 1000mm, the cabinets are available in height of 1600mm, 1800mm and 2000mm and depth of 400mm or 500mm. Additional sizes such as 600mm deep versions can also be offered.
The ATB8 range is supplied complete with mounting plate, cable entry gland plate and locking system. Accessories such as plinths and lifting eyebolts can be quickly fitted to the enclosure to ensure customisation to meet many varied applications.
