Although some students in Queensland are undertaking various ‘licence to…’ units to complete their traineeships, it seems that only those who complete Workplace Health & Safety Queensland (WHSQ) courses will actually get their licence.
The following was taken from Registration Notice 53, Department of Education and Training, Queensland, 23 November 2010.
“For licensing purposes WHSQ only recognises a Statement of Attainment from the relevant WHSQ approved accredited course associated with that licence class. Completion of one or more ‘licence to …’ units will not result in a licence being issued.”
Easy Guides Australia has both Queensland learner guides and PowerPoint presentations that help prepare students to be assessed using the WHSQ courses.
Easy Guides Australia remind RTOs that their Queensland training materials must form part of a formal training program and cannot be used in isolation.
Easy Guides Australia's Queensland WHSQ Learner Guides can be found in the ‘National and QLD Licence guides’ section of their website, while their Queensland WHSQ PowerPoint presentations can be found in the ‘PowerPoint Presentations’ section of the website.
