Road re-sheeting is budgeted for and programmed as standard practice in most councils but there is a cost effective alternative.
PolyCom stabilisation can be utilised in many situations instead of re-sheeting.
This stabilisation process is approx half the cost of a re-sheet and will produce a longer life expectancy from the reworked pavement.
Many areas that are due for re-sheeting have ample body in the pavement area but simply need a hard rip and a good blade mixing to re-establish a suitable material for re-use. We can utilise the existing pavement and bring in all the material lost to the roadside to rehabilitate many roads.
Once this combined material is stabilised with PolyCom and you have a strong and durable road once again.
The only equipment needed is a grader, watercart and a roller. No special process - just mix, lay out and compact.
This process will produce a tight flexible pavement with a smooth running surface which is durable and water proof. The treated area can be reworked at any time as PolyCom is not a rigid setting agent like cement.
There are savings in gravel, time, machinery, transport, water and overall there is a substantial saving in costs.
Why not consider stabilisation instead of your next re-sheet.
