Pressure balanced expansion joints

Eagleburgmann Australia offers pressure balanced expansion joints. They are designed to absorb axial, lateral and angular deflections or combinations of the three. In addition, they can restrain the thrust found when tie-rods or similar devices are used.

Manufactured as in-line or elbow type pressure balanced assemblies, they are recommended for use where it is not possible to make fixed corners or elbows in piping systems.

They are designed to eliminate pressure thrust (the force which acts on bellows). This must be contained with either main anchors or restrained expansion joints which can carry pressure thrust loads.

These expansion joints absorb axial movement and/or lateral deflection and restrain pressure thrust. They are often placed next to pumps or turbines.
