SENSEAIR AB, represented in Australia by ETM Pacific , has released aSENSE m III, a regulator with built-in gas sensors for carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. It is designed for standalone operation, as well as being connected to larger building automation systems.
It is suitable for large spaces where combustion is a source of toxins, such as in public garages, truck terminals, tunnels and mines. It combines CO and CO2 measurements and controls ventilation, saving energy when applied to demand-controlled ventilation.
To cover larger spaces, several sensors can be joined in a simple relay loop to control an intermittent two-speed exhaust fan. The sensors can also be connected together in a MODBUS RS485 network for serial communication to a global control system or to a simple web gateway for data presentation on the internet.
