GSM/GPRS alarm/control platform

ETM Pacific has released its new ETM9500 GSM/GPRS terminal with a programmable micro-controller which can be used for alarm and/or control applications.

ETM says the terminal has the potential to ‘revolutionise’ the interface between man-machine and machine-machine through its ability to communicate via: SMS, GPRS, Internet, E-mail and fax.

Utilising an open protocol the ETM9500 includes; MCU, EEPROM, GSM/GPRS engine, serial communication port and seven programmable I/O lines.

It can be used as a customer specified application development platform, allowing customers to program the unit to fit their specific requirements.

With clearly visible LEDs to display the operating, connection and data transmission status of the terminal, and a low power consumption, the unit is suitable for many fixed and mobile applications.

Available as a printed circuit assembly for OEM customers, or fitted within a robust ABS casing, the unit is ideal for a wide range of alarm and control applications.

Evaluation software tools including a signal strength facility, together with ETM Pacific's prompt technical support, enable designers to apply the unit and realise easy to implement solutions to complex problems within a short period of time.

These features make the ETM9500 suitable for many demanding alarm, control and data transfer applications.
