The two new models, the ETM9120-1 2G GSM/GPRS intelligent terminal and the ETM9140-1 3G UMTS/WCDMA intelligent terminal include improvements such as additional frequency bands, higher operating temperature range and lower power consumption.
These next generation intelligent modems find application in water metering, electrical metering, environmental monitoring, SMS alarms, remote data logging, temperature monitoring and alarm, and water depth monitoring and alarm.
Key features of the new ETM intelligent terminals include Quad-band GSM/GPRS (ETM9120-1); Penta-band UMTS/HSPA+ & Quad-band GSM/GPRS (ETM9140-1); wide operating temperature range -30°C to 70°C; 7 configurable I/O for data collection and/or alarm applications; and sleep mode for low power applications.
Being Quad-band GSM/GPRS, the new ETM9140-1 can be used on almost any 2G network worldwide enabling local customers to develop solutions for a worldwide market.
The ETM9140-1 is suitable for use across Australia and New Zealand with its five UMTS frequencies covering the currently available WCDMA networks including Telstra’s NextG network, Optus’s 900MHz 3G network, Telecom NZ’s XT network and Vodafone NZ’s 900MHz 3G network as well as existing 2100MHz networks.
