ERNI has released two stepper motors from Arsape that are suitable for applications where µA current consumption is the key requirement.
The ASP stepper motors are designed to offer the lowest possible current consumption by using rare earth magnets. These magnets also permit an extended operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.
The single-phase ASP 006 stepper motor has a step angle of 60° with an output torque of 20µNm. The ASP 124 has a step angle of 15° and an output torque up to 75µNm. The ASP 124 motor uses an integrated gearwheel to transmit the unidirectional rotary actuation.
The operating life can, without any maintenance, exceed 20 years at 16 steps a second. The stepper motors are suitable for applications where the required operation speed ranges from a few steps a month, to 16 steps a second. With autocommutation the speed can even be higher.
