Independent from exterior influences every reflective material triggers functions at a distance of 30mm and can be used in applications of sensor switch components.
The mode of action is simple. The sensor radiates infrared light. Approaches or contacts of the detector face reflect the light and causes variation of the signal level.
The electronic evaluation first operates the proxy output at low-impedance, thus allowing a current flow of up to 200mA. When initiating elements up to 5 to 10mm approaches and contacts the sensor surface, the “touch-output”, which can be set by the user as switch or push button, toggles.
The small size of the housing measures 10x10.4x25mm and can be used in a range of applications. Products on a conveyor belt can be counted and devices such as dehumidifiers for hands can be operated.
The component can be used to interrupt and block automatic procedures in order to prevent operational accidents as long as the user’s hands are inside the apparatus. Due to its non-contact switching of the electronic system, which is available in the form of a THT- and SMD construction, it provides a large number of actuating cycles.
