The new brushless DC-servomotors-sensorless design series completes the Faulhaber motor program; these motors exceed by far the operating lifetime of electro-mechanical commutated DC-micromotors.
A new ‘All-in-One’ design concept – lamination stack, coil and PCB combined in a single molded injection – additionally provides the motors with a robust housing.
The rotor consists of a permanent (NdFeB) magnet fitted onto a through shaft supported by preloaded ball bearings. All these features make the new Smartshell motor series a compact, powerful and high-quality drive suitable for a wide range of applications.
The motors are available in different frame sizes and can optionally be fitted with different modules such as e.g. analog or digital hall sensors. The phase commutation sequence of the motor is made electronically via an external servo amplifier.
A wide choice of precision gearheads allows the rotation speed to be adapted to suit the application while also increasing the delivered torque.
