EPG Pumps Launch Weir Self-Primer into the Australian Market

Weir Self-Primer pump
EPG Pumps have recently been appointed as Australian distributor of the Weir Self-Primer (WSP). A rugged, dependable self-priming end suction centrifugal pump, the WSP is suitable for a range of solids handling jobs where a self-priming application is required and is available in a 3”, 4”, 6”, 8”or 10” suction/discharge.

Launched in America in 2005, the performance of the WSP matches and in some cases exceeds other self-priming pumps in the Australian market. Applications for the WSP include sewage, industrial waste, wineries, mining, food processing and paper manufacturing.

The WSP sets new standards within the Australian Self-Priming pump industry, introducing a range of innovative features and benefits over other self-priming pumps in the market.

These features include:

  • Easy maintenance – Shimless/tool-less clearance adjustment
  • Superior materials – Hi chrome and ductile iron components
  • Enhanced safety features – Failsafe fill port assembly
  • Complete interchangability – With Gresco, Pioneer and Gorman-Rupp pumps and spares

The above features result in a self-priming pump with lower operating costs, higher actual efficiency and a longer life, compared with other self-priming pumps in the market place. The WSP is manufactured by Weir, an international engineering company dedicated to creating engineering solutions that improve the quality, safety and value of their customers' activities.

Listed on the UK stock exchange, Weir employs 8000 people worldwide. Additionally they have an international presence across a range of industries, including mining, general industry, waste and waste water, nuclear and defense industries.

EPG Pumps specialise in the distribution of pump brands including the Weir Self-Primer, Tsurumi, CAT, Polychem, Aeration Industries, Indeng, Pacer, Toyo, Edur and JS Maskinfabrik. Established in 1949, EPG Pumps operate stocking branches Australia-wide.
