ECO Environmental unveils new Hydrocarbon Spill Kits


New Hydrocarbon Spill Kits have been introduced by ECO Environmental. Ideal for containing and cleaning up spills on water, the Hydrocarbon Spill Kits are specifically designed not to sink. The ECO range of hydrocarbon spill kits contain little or no dust, will recover oil and petroleum based liquids on water, will both contain and clean up spills, and all components are individually replaceable.

Absorbents in the spill kits are made from polypropylene. Polypropylene absorbs hydrocarbons but is water repellent (hydrophobic). This enables the new spill kits to float on water for many months at a time. Polypropylene also absorbs diesel at 10 times it's own weight and oils at 20 times it's own weight.

A number of other absorbent products are available such as drum top covers, refuelling mats, bilge socks, etc.
