ENVIRONMENTAL Controls & Instrumentation Pty Ltd (ECI ) has introduced a range of Nivelco products into their product range.

Nivelco is a large, level measurement company covering the world market.

They offer a range of high performance quality instruments for liquid, solid or powder metering.

Over the past 30 years Nivelco has improved their products to accommodate today's changing needs.

Nivelco offers products with a range of operating principles, for example: vibration, radar, ultrasonic, rotary paddle, capacitance, conductivity, controller, capacitive, universal process, controller/indicator, ultrasonic proximity sensor, non-contact microwave and loop indicator.

In 2000 Nivelco launched The EchoTREK, the advanced, compact ultrasonic level transmitter.

The EchoTREK is a state-of-the-art, narrow-beam angle sensor. The EchoTREK’s QUEST (Qualifies Echo Suppressing Technique) features advanced, process adaptive digital signal processing – this provides the basis for the solution of the most demanding applications in the process control world.

Features include:

* Economical, standalone, non-contact level metering

* Narrow 5° beam angle

* Fully temperature compensated

* Excellent signal processing via Quest software

* Optional field indicator and plug-calibrator

* PP, PVDF and PTFE as well as flush flange mounting, stainless steel sensors

* Secondary lightning protection

* Plastic or aluminium housing.

Application

Level measurement technology based on the non-contact ultrasonic principle is especially suited for applications where, for reason, no physical contact can be established with the surface of the material to be measured.

Such reasons may include corrosive attack by the process medium of the material to the measuring device material and possible contamination or particles of the process medium adhering to the measuring device.

Applying the non-contact ultrasonic principle for level measurements has proven reliable where other, high maintenance level detectors have been found unsuitable in the field says ECI.
