ECEFast supplies a range of contactless linear position transducers with innovative Gefran ONDA magnetostrictive technology for longer life and lower costs.
These linear position transducers consist of an alloy body containing the sensor and all electronics to produce 4-20mA proportional to the position of a magnet along the body.
The magnet can be mounted on a separate mechanical part, or on a sliding carriage that moves on tracks on the alloy body. Power supply is 24VDC +/-20%.
Up to 31 ranges of measurements from 0-50 to 0-1500mm are made depending on the model of magnetostrictive linear position transducers.
Accuracy is 0.04% full scale, and relative velocity up to 10m/sec will not affect the measurement with sampling times from 1 to 3 ms depending on the range.
The ONP1-A sensors meet IP65 requirements and are rated to 75ºC with a tolerance of 12g at 10-2000Hz continuous vibration.
Gefran offers four different series of magnetostrictive displacement transmitters including units for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders.
The ONP1-A offers the lowest possible price for a high level of performance, but is restricted in output type and electrical connections.
These linear position transducers are designed for mechanical machinery including plastic injection moulding machines, cutting and shaping saws, wood processing equipment and presses.
