ECEFast have developed network compatibility for Brainchild VR18 paperless recorders, and its PC based RampX DC data acquisition software.
The Brainchild has a PC software package – Observer, which allows central control, data analysis, and alarm monitoring and reporting on an Ethernet network of VR18 and VR06 recorders.
The VR series have high resolution video displays 640x480 and plug and play slots for building the required mix of inputs and outputs for the application.
The VR18 has 6 slots for a maximum of 18 universal input channels, and the VR06 has 6 slots for a maximum of 6 input channels.
The solution allows remote operators to view current and historical data and interact with the alarm system, as it relates to their part of the operation, and at the same time there is centralised supervisory software and data storage.
Each VR device has local memory on CF card with more or less unlimited capacity.
