This system is floatless, instead using electrodes set at the control level in the vessel, and detecting a flow of current when the liquid completes a circuit between one electrode and the vessel - if it is metal - or two electrodes if the vessel is plastic.

This allows the sensor to be very compact and extremely rugged, and keeps the electronics remote from the vessel and liquids.

Hitrol has two models, the HLC-200 for up to 3 electrodes, and a start/ stop control at two levels, or the HLC-300 for up to 5 electrodes, with start/stop and hi/lo alarms.

Power supply is 110/240V ac and the relays are rated at 5 amps. Sensors are available in standard types or they may be custom built to suit the application.

Electrodes can be made from any material which resists the liquid medium, and conducts electricity.
