DYNAMIC Flooring has announced a new way to make work floors and checker-plate steel stairs safer that not only looks and stays cleaner but also feels good underfoot.
Floorsafe is a six-step process highly recommended by Dynamic Flooring that provides a rubberised finish ready for traffic 6-8 hours after laying.
Comprising a polyurethane-bound aggregate of recycled rubber, Floorsafe can be applied to concrete, wood, particle board, metal, slate, stone and many other surfaces including vinyl and ceramic tiles.
It can be applied over worn painted or epoxy floors often without grinding or stripping, thereby saving in installation cost.
The finished surface is tough enough to resist chipping, mild acids, alcohol and detergents, yet has a softer feel underfoot than bare concrete. And its various textured finishes improve traction for pedestrian traffic.
Suitable indoors or out, Floorsafe is resistant to UV. It is free of solvents. And it is not flammable.
Floorsafe's standard hues of blue, grey, green and terracotta provide attractive alternatives in a high-density top coat that is essentially a tough membrane sealing in the granulated rubber.
Once cured, the AQIS-approved material boasts a Shore hardness of 65, a tensile strength of 250N/mm2 and a tear strength of 24N/mm.
