Dy-Mark introduce packaging redesign to their product range
Dy-Mark have embarked on a packaging redesign for their product range. The decision to redesign was made as the Dy-Mark brand lacked a consistent presence across the entire range. The redesign has involved the aerosol range being grouped into categories that include:
- Professional marking
- Metal protection and
- Maintenance
The categories will assist the end users in selecting the right product for their application.
John Parker, General Manager of Sales & Marketing at Dy-Mark, is optimistic about the packaging upgrade and is confident that it will give the products a better presence on the shelf. According to Parker, the new label emphasises copy and visual cues, such as the white aerosol can that customers looks for, without compromising key graphic qualities such as the logotype.
Parker added that Dy-Mark customers will recognise and welcome the improved packaging, whilst new users, attracted by the new label, will be motivated to try the brand. The packaging upgrade will further establish Dy-Mark as a serious contender in the marking paint and metal protection categories
The main elements of the packaging redesign include:
- White aerosol cans: Spray & Mark is easily recognised on hardware store shelves by the white aerosol can. This will be carried across all products, with white being the new prominent colour
- Application images: These have been incorporated into product packaging to provide additional information to the end user
- Directions for use and safety information: This information has been updated to maintain consistency across the product range and assist the end user with selecting the right product
- Product Categories: Include professional marking, metal protection and maintenance
- Accessories: Where accessories are available for use with a particular product will be included on the label
