DY-MARK recently announced the availability of the Datamax Ex2, which is setting a new standard in the entry-level thermal printer market for affordability and size.
Engineered to incorporate a communications interface and power connection under the printer, the Ex2 allows for ease-of-use in locations with limited space.
It packs the latest technology with affordable pricing in a small package, which is 7” high and 8.6” wide.
The Ex2 is ideally suited for shipping and receiving, retail and healthcare and low to medium volume printing applications.
The printer can accommodate up to a 5” roll of media, which reduces frequency of label loading and offers a powerful performance with a 32-bit multi-tasking processor with 2MB of memory, serial, parallel and USB communications interfaces standard.
Labels can be from 25.4mm up to 104.6mm in size, print speed is 3” per second and the resolution is 203 dots per inch.
The Ex2's centre bias design eliminates any mechanical printer width adjustment for narrow media applications and with one button, one LED, and auto media loading the printer has been simplified for ease.
