Mercoid, a division of Dwyer Instruments that supplies a wide range of practical and affordable instrumentation, is pleased to announce the release of its new and innovative CFS2 Series cable float switch.
A mechanically actuated floating switch intended to activate electrical components, such as pumps, to start and stop automatically, the CFS2 Series cable float switch is ideal for simple level control of liquids for filling or draining reservoirs and tanks.
Float switches such as the CFS2 are used most universally for pump automation, due to their high reliability, economical pricing, and easy installation.
A range of counterweights and cable hangers are available to suit a variety of float switch mounting applications, with optional cables available with UL/CSA approval, higher chemical compatibility, high temperature durability, oil resistance, and drinking water suitability.
There are also piggyback plug, gold contact switch, and cable length options (from 3.04m to 21.34m) available on request.
The CFS2 Series cable float switch features a mercury-free microswitch housed in an entirely waterproof polypropylene casing. The position of the float changes depending on the liquid level, thus determining the microswitch position which in turn controls the operation of the pump.
