The Dueltek VGA Balun pair allows VGA video signal to be transmitted via Cat5e or CAT6 twisted pair Ethernet Cable.
A shielded Cat5e or CAT6 cable is recommended if you are going to connect a laptop. The shield is required to properly ground the VGA signal whenever the equipment does not have a built-in 3-prong power plug.
In the Dueltek VGA Balun pair, the two connector configurations are used depending on whether the balun is connected to the VGA source or to a VGA destination. (The male HD15 has a 15cm (6") lead)
The Dueltek Computer Products ’ VGA Balun is a versatile cabling solution than the VGA cable.
Applications: Typical applications include classroom video distribution, overhead projector systems, PC-training systems, and tradeshow demo systems.
In the boardroom or classroom you can easily connect the VGA balun to the laptops of different presenters and save time, instead of playing musical chairs with every presenter getting up and moving closer to the projector.
The Dueltek VGA Balun transmits RGB video, horizontal and vertical synchronisation pulses and works in conjunction with PC, VGA splitters, VGA signal extenders, laptops, and VGA monitors and LCD projector screens.
When using the Dueltek VGA Balun, it is recommended to keep the resolution set to 1024x768 or lower for good performance. Interference from lights or other electrical cables will not be a problem; however wiring should be kept away from fluorescent lighting ballasts and power cable as specified in the EIA/TIA cabling standards.
