CEDIA member Dueltek Distribution has been appointed as the exclusive Australian distributor for the Screen Keeper wireless security products.
Offering two key benefits, Screen Keeper wireless security products can be used to secure laptops and PCs through automatic locking when the user is away, preventing access to unauthorised persons.
Screen Keeper locks the computer or laptop into standby mode, saving energy and helping to reduce the carbon footprint. The monitor will not draw power when the computer system is in standby mode, helping the user save money by lowering energy consumption. Research shows that most monitors use about 95% less energy while in standby.
Screen Keeper’s advanced monitor security uses only two components: A USB dongle that plugs into the PC or laptop and a remote card that can clip to a belt or hang around the user’s neck.
Both components of Screen Keeper wireless security products are designed with a unique security ID using AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) and function completely independently of other wireless devices.
When the user walks away from the computer, Screen Keeper automatically switches the monitor to standby, preventing access to the equipment by any other person. The device automatically detects when the user returns, switching the monitor back on.
In its active mode, the Screen Keeper locks the computer and renders it useless. It can only be unlocked by the wireless remote or when a secure password is entered.
