New breath alcohol analyser available from Draeger Safety Pacific

Alcotest 6510 breath alcohol analyser
Since roadside breath alcohol testing is generally conducted in a somewhat stressful setting, police need breath alcohol analysers to be not only highly accurate but also reliable, quick and easy to use.
Alcotest 6510, the new electronic breath alcohol measurement instrument from Draeger Safety Pacific, meets all these requirements. It combines 50 years of experience in breath alcohol detection with modern technology and practical operation in a small, handy and compact instrument which works quickly, accurately and reliably.
Straightforward operation:
The electrochemical principle of measurement ensures the high level of measurement accuracy needed by professional users, without necessitating much in the way of preparation.
The breath alcohol analysers have low cross-sensitivities with other non-alcoholic substances which may be present in the exhaled air. The result of the measurement appears on the display, together with the test number, immediately upon completion of the measurement.
The mouthpiece, which is also new and features an integrated ejector and a new design, can also be fitted securely and quickly even in darkness.
Contact between the mouth of the test person and the housing of the measurement instrument is prevented by the mouthpiece’s shape.
The correct application of the instrument and the breath alcohol measurement process are monitored audibly and visually.
Errors, e.g. during the sampling process, are shown on the display in the form of easily comprehensible error messages.
All the measurement functions can be operated using just one key. Navigating through the menu for configuration or information takes place via two menu keys.
Due to its compact dimensions, the Alcotest 6510 fits easily into a shirt pocket or can be attached to a belt in a leather pouch which is available as an accessory.
