DONALDSON has introduced a range of aftermarket PSD air cleaners with patented PowerCore filtration technology suitable for a broad range of off-road equipment operating in medium-dust conditions - including equipment such as excavators, screeners, 4-wheel drives and more.
PowerCore filters have twice the amount of filter media as conventional pleated media used in traditional engine filtration solutions.
The upgraded air cleaner is designed for greater dust holding capacity and is three times more efficient than standard cellulose pleated media with no impact upon engine performance (airflow) compared to the originally installed air induction system.
Donaldson PowerCore PSD08 and PSD09 air cleaners which are suitable for engine flow ranges up to 370cfm are now available, with larger models suitable for higher airflows up to 1060cfm becoming available in the next few months.
As an alternative to larger-sized conventional filters, Donaldson's compact PowerCore has a straight-through airflow and high-density filtration system that reduces restriction and extends filter life, reducing overall maintenance costs.

Larger conventional filters require clearance space for proper air flow. They also have a hollow centre to allow the filtered air to exit the engine. The combination results in significant size reduction options which other filtration technologies cannot offer.
Because of its shape options and smaller size, the Donaldson PowerCore air cleaner assemblies have more mounting options than conventional air intake systems.
