Donaldson Australasia has released its Modular Baghouse (MB) dust collectors for widespread applications in woodworking, building and construction, furniture manufacturing, food processing, grain handling, and wherever dusts and fines pose a potential OH&S or environmental problem.
The Modular baghouse range is fully welded to increase durability, whilst the optimal sizing and assembly method reduces shipping and installation costs.
Modular baghouse achieves optimal airflow and minimal abrasion through computer designed inlets, deflector plates and optimal bag spacing. Once installed, Modular baghouse will require less than expected ongoing maintainence as the number of moving parts has been minimised.
Tool-free installation and removal of filter bags and cages is made even easier by access on the clean-air side of the collector. The filter bags can be easily replaced as each collector is equipped with quick-release filter bag cages.
These compact units have high reliability and an efficient pulse-jet operated cleaning method. Filtration capacity is of the highest standard, and this is largely due to the breakthrough technology of Dura-Life filter bags which provide longer bag life and reduced emissions.
The enhancement in filter bag technology is standard in all MB collectors. The difference is that outdated and more commonly used polyester bags have been woven with a needling process that creates uneven and larger pores where dust can embed into the fabric, inhibiting cleaning and reducing bag life.
However, Dura-Life bags are manufactured with a unique hydroentanglement process that uses high pressure water jets to blend the fibres. This process provides a more uniform material with smaller pores, resulting in better surface loading, enhanced pulse cleaning and longer bag life.
What is gained is a technically superior product at a highly competitive price, with the added advantage of Dura-Life bags reducing on-going maintenance costs as well as generating real savings in power consumption.
