Filters to increase engine life and reduce operating costs
DONALDSON Australasia has recently introduced the Donaldson Endurance line of oil and air filters for on- and off-road applications, which incorporates advanced synthetic media technology for longer filter life and greater engine protection.

This frees equipment operators from the pressure of changing the vehicle's oil as well as its air and oil filters at frequent intervals. Until now, this was the only way to safeguard the vehicle's continuing reliability.
Donaldson Endurance filters are made using Donaldson's patented advanced synthetic media technologies Synteq (for oil and fuel) and Ultra-Web (for air). Each of these technologies delivers cost saving benefits with higher efficiency, lower restriction, higher capacity, greater engine protection, and longer engine life.
Synteq is at the heart of the Donaldson Endurance oil filters. This high-performance filter media undergoes a strictly controlled processing of fibres that have a controlled size and shape, and a significantly smaller fibre diameter.
This controlled processing allows Donaldson Endurance oil filters to deliver both higher dirt holding capacity at the same pressure differential and higher efficiency compared with conventional cellulose filters. Synteq media also has better durability with usage.
Contaminant filtering and holding capacity is a major factor in determining when a filter needs to be changed. Donaldson Endurance oil filters have greater contaminant holding capacity than conventional cellulose filters.
And as dirt and other small contaminants are responsible for wear and reduced engine and equipment life, Donaldson Endurance filters' higher effectiveness in removing these small contaminants will lead to increased engine life.
In laboratory and field tests, Donaldson Endurance air filters provided better engine protection by allowing less contaminant to pass through than cellulose air filters.
Donaldson Endurance air filters hold up to five times more dirt than cellulose air filters, making them ideal for extended maintenance intervals for long-distance highway trucks.
Combining Donaldson's Endurance air and oil filters allows maintenance intervals to be extended to the limit, without sacrificing engine longevity.
Fuel economy is also improved due to better breathing through the less restrictive air filter.
