Low cost laser coder from Domino

Domino Australia has announced the release of a low cost laser coder the Domino S100, which is based on the renowned Domino built, air cooled miniature laser tube.

Reliability proven worldwide in the ubiquitous Domino DDC3 Digital Laser Coder, more products have been coded with this laser tube than with all others combined, according to Domino Australia national sales manager Peter Cumberlege.

“In the Domino S100, a single miniature laser tube is combined with a unique scanning arrangement in a cylindrical enclosure, resulting in the most compact, lightweight, and versatile laser head in the industry. “Precision new optics provide a micro-laser beam that results in concise imaging on virtually any substrate,” he said.

Laser head installation was fast and simple with a built-in ‘Installation Wizard’, a visible red aiming beam. The cylindrical laser head was then easily turned for perfect image alignment on the product.

The Domino S100 was IP55 compliant in a compact, small footprint stainless steel control enclosure, was simple to operate and virtually maintenance free,” Cumberlege said.

The user interface was a colour touch screen with intuitive Windows based software, allowing quick message entry and editing.

“From simple codes using global character fonts to intricate logos and graphics, images from 0.8 to 50mm high can be produced in virtually any industrial environment.

“It is ideal for packages and products in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and personal care markets for serial, date, batch, and barcodes of all types, as well as graphics,” he said.
