Lippert has developed Toucan QM57 embedded computer modules, now available from Dominion Electronics , in order to provide customers of COM Express Type 2 modules with a newer processor generation.
Ruggedly constructed to support operation in harsh environments, these embedded computer modules bring the processing power of Intel's Core i7 processors to COM Express applications.
They offer memory configurations of up to 8GB DDR3 ECC RAM, with memory expansion possible through XR-DIMM modules that have been specially designed to withstand shock and vibration.
QM57 embedded computer modules support the COM Express standard, and include a range of interface options such as:
- dual channel LVDS, 2 DisplayPorts
- Gigabit LAN
- 8 USB 2.0 host ports
- 4 SATA ports with RAID support
- 1 PATA interface
- Intel HD audio
- PCI Express bus: 6 x1 lanes, 1 x 16 lane
- PCI bus; and
- LPC, SPI, SMB buses.
LEMT functionality has also been incorporated into these modules. LEMT, short for Lippert Enhanced Management Technology, is implemented in all current Lippert products and offers features for condition monitoring.
