AUSTRALIA's annual manufacturing and technology event Manufacturing Technology InFocus is to be staged at the Melbourne Exhibition & Convention Centre next week.
The exhibition, organised by Diversified Exhibitions , is a dynamic event showcasing products and services for Australia's multi-billion dollar manufacturing sector and also incorporating a comprehensive free keynote and seminar program on the show floor.
The program is designed to address industry concerns regarding 'skill and knowledge deficits' acknowledged at the Manufacturing Summit, held in Victoria in 2005, to be a major obstacle for the manufacturing industry to overcome.
The keynote and seminar program will feature high profile speakers giving their vision for the future and industry experts addressing skill and management issues.
"When times are tough, time is at a premium and every edge is important,” exhibition director John Psalidas said.
“Just finding a new technology, idea or product could make all the difference to the future of a manufacturing business.
“We are confident visitors will discover new technology but, more importantly, will be able to access the know-how to integrate them into their individual business infrastructure," he said.
Manufacturing Technology InFocus will be held in the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, October 17-19, and is for the trade only.
