Market leader Salkat will be showcasing their range of innovative nutritional and functional food ingredients at Foodpro 2011, one of Australasia’s largest international food processing exhibitions.
Salkat will be displaying Hytolive, their extra virgin olive oil with all-natural and highly bioavailable characteristics. Containing high purity hydroxytyrosol and non-toxic antioxidants that prevent brain deterioration, Hytolive is stable at high temperatures, is water and fat soluble as well as ideal for functional foods and dietary supplements.
Salkat’s line-up at Foodpro 2011 includes Solgen Soy Isoflavones, the phyto-estrogens derived from whole soybean and extracted in their natural state. These impressive Isoflavones reduce risk of certain types of cancers, ease menopausal symptoms, reduce incidence of osteoporosis, lower LDL cholesterol and provide antioxidant activity.
The Salkat range also includes Tara Gum, the galactomannin that offers economical and functional benefits over other gums, especially non-fat and low solid systems. Grown naturally in Peru, Tara Gum seed pods are collected and processed on site.
Also on display at the Salkat stand are products such as XOS, Xylo-oligosaccharies, the highly effective prebiotics manufactured from corn offering high stability against heat and Acid, Biomegatech Omega-3 marine and algae extracts that are rich in DHA Omega-3 fatty acid and stabilised with natural Tocopherols for improved stability in addition to Acacia Gum grown throughout the gum belt of Africa and used in a wide range of food, beverage, confectionary, pharmaceutical and on-food applications.
