THE Safety Show Sydney, which had already doubled in size in 2004, will now host 300 exhibitors over 13500m2 of its Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park venue.
Described as New South Wales’ only trade show dedicated to occupational health and safety, the show will run from Wednesday 26 to Friday 28 October this year.
Despite being specialised, The Safety Show Sydney continues to draw increasingly large numbers of exhibitors and visitors. More than 8,000 people attended the 2004 show, representing a 30% increase over the previous year’s record attendance.
Organiser, Australian Exhibitions & Conferences ’ Marie Kinsella, said the drawing power of The Safety Show Sydney reflected the importance of safety, the show’s critical mass and a new approach to the marketing of safety solutions.
“The Safety Show is purely about safety, rather than merely an adjunct to engineering and manufacturing, because people now recognise this is an important discipline in its own right,” she said.
Free WorkCover workshops, tours, demonstrations and simulations will be highlights of this year’s event.
The show’s principal sponsor, WorkCover NSW, will host 10 free workshops offering practical advice across seven areas to help small to medium sized business operators lift workplace safety, manage workers compensation and improve injury management.
