Rugby stars set to tackle Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference 2011
Emirates Western Force stars James O’Connor and Matt Dunning are set to take a break from the rucks and mauls of the rugby field to appear at the Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference (AOG) on February 24, a Diversified Exhibitions Australia event.
The duo, who have more than 70 test caps for the Wallabies between them, will be on site to meet expo attendees, sign autographs and talk rugby at the TSmarine stand on day two of the Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference, from 12-2pm.
A major sponsor of the Western Force, TSmarine will also be giving away a rugby ball signed by the 2011 Western Force squad at the end of the event.
“TSmarine was established in Perth around the same time as the Western Force, so we have grown together here in the city. With a high percentage of expatriates working in the oil and gas sector in Perth, rugby is a very popular sport across our industry and we are proud to be associated with RugbyWA and the Western Force, supporting the growth of the sport and encouraging involvement at all levels,” says Ian Rowson, Regional Sales & Marketing Manager, TSmarine.
The appearance of O’Connor and Dunning will be just one of a number of attractions at the Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference, which is marked as an event not just all about business.
When not exploring the latest oil and gas products, projects and technology from the more than 450 local and international exhibitors, Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference visitors will be able to sample the gourmet delights and refreshments at the SDV Oyster Bar, DHL Bratwurst Bar and IKM Testing Subsea Bar.
“Many of those in the oil and gas industry are time poor so we have factored this in to our planning, supplying great local food to allow busy workers a chance to visit the exhibition and grab a tasty lunch at the same time,” says Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference Event Director, Bill Hare.
There will also be ample opportunities for networking at the Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference Opening Party at the close of day one of the event on February 23 2011, and at the Official Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference Dinner on February 24.
