MANUFACTURING Technology InFocus is the new name for the annual Austronics, Automate and Electrix exhibition to be staged at the Melbourne Exhibition & Convention Centre from October 17 to 19, 2006.
A trade-only event, the exhibition combines leading hi-tech manufacturing with new product feature zones and co-located industry conferences and seminars.
Australian Exhibition Services director John Psalidas said keeping in touch with the latest technology in the manufacturing sector had never been easy.
“There are simply too many events and places to attend if you want to stay on top of the developments in these converging technologies. But it's just been made a whole lot easier because now there's Manufacturing Technology InFocus."
Manufacturing Technology InFocus is a dynamic event showcasing products and services to Australia's multi-billion dollar manufacturing sector.
The designated feature zones will be Austronics, Automate, Electrix, CIMWorld, FluidX, Instrumentation & Control and, new this year, Innovation InFocus featuring innovative products, services and technologies from Australian companies.
"It's designed to be the focal point where industries and technology converge in a single event, where you can choose your focus. On show will be robotics and automation, instrumentation and process, electrical components, electronics, hydraulics and pneumatics, computers in manufacturing," Mr Psalidas added
Another interesting development at this year's event will be a series of free keynotes and seminars held in a theatre on the show floor - details of speakers and topics will be announced shortly.
"We know from past shows that over 90% of our visitors have discovered new products and we are confident that this year they will appreciate the opportunity of seeing first hand the technological advances in related industries," Mr Psalidas said.
