The various services offered by Disability Services Australia include lifestyle services, community participation and transition to work, specialist intervention service, four factory sites, labour outplacement service, open employment and supported services and employment service especially for mental illness people.
The specialist intervention service offered by Disability Services Australia provides people with disability in problem and complex behaviours accessing to a team of experienced and dedicated psychologists. Disability Services Australia assists the individuals with different types of disability that includes dual diagnosis and autism/aspergers spectrum disorders. The Disability Services Australia is funded by the department of Ageing Disability and Home care in order to provide free intervention services. The services are extended to Sydney inner west and south east Sydney.
Disability Services Australia also provides transition to work and community participating services in order to provide each person with community gaining new skills, engaging in variety of valued life roles and enhancing existing skills. The supported and open employment services assist the people with disability to find, get and keep the job they require. The four factory sites of Disability Services Australia employ people of disability to undertake packaging, manufacturing and assembly work.
