These days workholding systems have to accommodate increasing demands for high-speed, lower-volume operation. In addition to this, new demands are being placed on traditional workholding methods with the increase in popularity of multi-tasking CNC machines such as the mill-turn lathe.

THE popular Pitbull fixture clamp is now available in a machinable version from Dimac Tooling. The clamp has positive down force and a very low gripping profile, making it well suited for machining pieces complete in one set up.

DIMAC Tooling distributes the Mitee-Bite Pitbull Fixture Clamp, which is well-known for its low profile and positive down force. It is now released as a modular clamp in two sizes. DIMAC Tooling has introduced Kitagawa’s new DL series, parallel shift, draw down chuck. According to the general manager of Dimac Tooling, Paul Fowler, the addition of the DL series overcomes the traditional problems with draw down chucks caused by the jaws protruding in the Z-axis direction.
