Kitagawa has partnered with Dimac Tooling to help create new and innovative products to meet market demand in Australia.
Masashi Otuni, responsible for Export and Sales at Kitagawa visited Australia recently to get a good grasp of customer needs and expectations at the local level. Kitagawa integrates customer feedback into the research and development lifecycle to help them develop innovative products for the market.
The continuing mining boom creates work in abundance for local manufacturers, but companies have to gear up to increase capacities to machine large parts.
Kitagawa’s rotary tables including the NC rotary table and the recently introduced large through-hole rotary table TP530 have helped build Kitagawa's reputation for delivering high quality engineering.
The servo motor-driven NC rotary table facilitates accurate milling and drilling of tube and shaft-type components on machining centres and manual mills, especially in industries requiring large-envelope machining, such as the mining industry.
The 345mm diameter, hole-through-the-centre TP530 rotary table accepts pipes up to 340mm, which is a standard used in the oil and gas industry for applications such as borehole casings.
The rigid-build TP530 unit promotes machining accuracy and, at 366kg weighs one-third less than the equivalent model in Kitagawa TR table series, which has a through-hole only half as large.
The new rotary tables will soon be available from Dimac Tooling .
