DBX-IRL 100mm Large Output ZnSe Laser Beam Expander, available from Dioptika Laser Glasses , is designed to decrease the laser's beam spot size at large distances and/or produce a larger diameter collimated laser beam. The large output size reduces optical loss and offers variable focus; either from 1m to infinity.
Expanded beams are useful in focusing optimisation because of their ability to yield smaller spot sizes when used in combination with additional focusing optics, and the large clear output aperture (100mm diameter) of DBX-IRL makes this optimisation easier.
The DBX-IRL features an AR Coated dual band for 3-5microns and 8-12 microns and high performance lambda/10 design over 3-5microns & 8-12microns.
DBX-IRL can be easily fixed and mounted onto an optical table for convenience with a range of imperial and metric mounting holes on the base.
DiOptika’s beam expanders are of the Galilean type. The advantages of the Galilean design over the Keplerian (the only other form of beam expander) is that it contains no internal focal point therefore reducing the length.
