DEXION Australia has launched its Ultima Shelving Series shelving range. The range includes four different shelving systems, each designed to solve different storage requirements.

The new Ultima CI-80, a modular shelving and small parts storage system, replaces Dexion's Spandex industrial and Plan D commercial shelving ranges.

Ultima CI-80 is designed to look equally at home in a typical industrial application or the office environment.

Features include:

* New slotted shelf with various binning and divider options.

* New tool and small parts drawer modules.

* Market-leading shelf loadings.

* Expanded range, with more heights, depths and widths.

* Two standard colours in stock, with the ability to manufacture four more colours on a quick turnaround.

Next up in the range is Ultima CI-180, a two-tier shelving system combining the versatility of Utima CI-80 with a range of additional components to create either a walkway or a platform two-tier shelving system.

Completing the range is Ultima Longspan, a strong and durable storage system designed to maximise storage capacity, and the European-manufactured Ultima HI-280, a high-density small parts storage system designed for everything from single-level, high density small parts storage through to multi-tier structures

The Ultima C1-80 range is compatible with Dexion's Freetrack and Multi- Bay Compactus systems, providing customers with reductions in aisle requirements and optimum use of available storage space.

According to Lindsay Plumb, Dexion Australia's product manager, the Ultima Shelving Series provides a foundation on which Dexion can build a complete shelving solution.

"We are marketing Ultima as the ultimate storage system, as it is ideally suited for all industrial and small parts applications, as well as commercial and document storage.

"By simply adding components, we can spec the Ultima system up or down as required by different applications."

Mr Plumb said Dexion Australia had devoted a lot of resources researching the shelving market, covering such issues as major players, market share, pricing and delivery.

"We realised we were not fully in the game with our previous product ranges," he said.

"However, the introduction of the Ultima range, coinciding with the installation of our new shelving production line at Blacktown, provides the ability to significantly reduce lead times and prices for customers without compromising on quality."
