Dewar Electronics has announced that Unipower has introduced a series of hot-swap, high power density telecom inverters.
The INV1000 series are 1000VA/800W and 1500VA/1200W sine wave inverter modules which operate from a 48VDC input and provide either a 115 or 230VAC nominal output. Power density is 10.5VA/in³.
The design uses an advanced DSP controlled architecture to produce a low distortion 50 or 60Hz sine wave at efficiency levels of 90% and better.
The inverters are available with a compatible two-unit 1RU high, 19 in shelf capable of providing double the output of a single unit or operating automatically in an N+1 mode. Multiple shelves can be connected in parallel to provide solutions up to 24kVA.
Inverters in the INV1000 series can be operated independently or integrated using a matching controller or static transfer switch as well as a power distribution and maintenance by-pass unit. When the controller is used, a remote communications option provides PC connection via USB, RS232 or RS485 serial connection.
Front panel indication is provided for inverter status and relay alarm contacts are available on the rear panel. The modules are cooled by internal, variable speed fans.
All models meet the requirements of all relevant safety standards including UL60950-1, CSA22.2 No. 60950-1 and EN60950-1. The INV1000 series inverter modules are RoHS compliant.
