Dewar Electronics supply modular sine wave inverter power systems

The modular sine wave inverter power system
Dewar Electronics , Australian agents for UNIPOWER Corporation, have announced a modular sine wave inverter power system, designed to meet the needs of both telecoms and industrial OEM customers.

The modular sine wave inverter power system is expandable to 24kVA and can be used as a standby power system or as a source of supply.

Part of UNIPOWER's established Gravitas family, the SABRE Series is an integrated power system that can be configured using a variety of modules, including sine wave inverters, static transfer switches, control units and remote communications interface.

Key features of the sine wave inverter power system include high power density, hot swap N+1 capability, unique ‘all master’ dynamic mechanism designed to safeguard power to critical loads, maintenance bypass and full system control and status display.

SABRE Series hot swap sine wave inverter modules achieve power densities as high as 8.36W/in³ and outputs of 1500kVA. The SABRE's static transfer switch module increases system reliability by automatically switching between the sine wave inverter output and the mains. The switch can be programmed to allow the system to operate as a standby power source when the AC mains is available, or as a power source with automatic switchover to AC mains in the event of system failure.

The control module allows the user to monitor real-time system status including output voltage, output current and alarm status through an LCD display and LED indicators. The microprocessor-controlled module also permits settings to be programmed through the front panel. With the Sabre system's communications interface module installed, remote monitoring and control is possible.

A manual bypass and power distribution module allows the user to switch between the sine wave inverter output or utility output for maintenance purposes. To increase applications flexibility, the module allows two ways of supplying AC to the load as standard:ma As a single bulk output, or through up to eight IEC320 or NEMA outlet sockets through magnetic circuit breakers

All modules in the SABRE Series meet the requirements of relevant safety standards including UL60950-1, CSA22.2 No. 60950-1 and EN60950-1. These products are also RoHS compliant.
