Denso Australia group consolidates its business activities
Denso Australia group companies Australian Automotive Air (AAA) and Denso International Australia (DIAU) have consolidated their business activities at the AAA site on Dorset Road, Croydon.
DIAU is the sales and corporate services office for the group and has been located at Tullamarine for the past 14 years.
DIAU’s Director of Sales and Operation Aidan Carter explained “the move is an essential part of our ongoing activities to improve our competitiveness, by reducing overhead cost levels and gaining the synergy benefits that will come from both groups being on the same site.
Mr. Carter further stated that “this is clearly a case of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.”
DIAU’s aftermarket sales in the automotive sector includes car a/c parts, spark plugs, radiator parts, diesel fuel injection parts, heavy duty rotating electrical assemblies and bus air conditioning systems.
Its non-automotive products include: data capture systems, industrial portable air conditioners and robots.
For its part, the AAA operation has been a major employer in Croydon since 1989 and currently employs over 550 people.
It services all of the major car manufacturers in Australia with air conditioning, radiators and range of other automotive components. The Company is also an established exporter in the field.
Denso’s global head office is located in Nagoya Japan and operates globally in over 32 countries with 112,000 employees.
