Elma Electronic have announced a new line of front panels that also act as heat sinks. These panels dissipate heat while covering open sections of an enclosure.
The Elma Electronic heat sink front panels, available from Dedicated Systems Australia , are aluminium-based, which are easy to cut and machine, have high thermal capacity, low density and are light in weight. The heat sink front panels’ surfaces are black anodised, providing an order of magnitude higher emissivity than an untreated surface. Clear-anodised versions are also available.
The heat sink front panels come in various sizes and configurations and are designed for 19” technology. The cooling fin extrusion has a width of 42 HP and comes in 1U high increments. Each fin is built upon a 1.5 HP pitch to ensure enough space in between for screw heads. Therefore, the fins do not need to be modified for mounting. EMC versions with a mounting bracket for gaskets are also available.The Elma Electronic heat sink front panels can be used on all types of devices to provide extra heat dissipation.
