Dedicated Micros DV-IP Server was created specifically to satisfy the requirements of 24 hour CCTV video surveillance, with integrated hard disk recording and the ability to use new or existing video over IP networks to deliver a scaleable, economic and reliable means of recording and distributing video from a site's CCTV cameras on demand.
The DV-IP Server can also be described as a Network Video Recorder (NVR) or IP based Digital Video Recorder (DVR).
A key feature of the DV-IP Server is its unique trans-coding capability. The system is the first product in its class to deliver local recording of evidential quality JPEG format images, so detail of every incident is captured clearly, while simultaneously streaming video over the IP network in MPEG-4 format.
The innovation facilitates highly efficient data transmission over low bandwidth connections. The flexible DV-IP Server (NVR / DVR) also allows the resolution of viewed images to be altered on the fly, maximising live viewing performance over the available bandwidth. Should the network connection become unavailable, all images are recorded locally to hard disk by the DV-IP Server, so vital CCTV evidence is not lost.
The DV-IP Server is built on the NetVu Connected architecture, a common technology DNA, which supports interoperability between DVR / NVR and CCTV systems from DM, and other leading CCTV / DVR / NVR security companies.
