Supplier News

DATALOGIC has announced that it has formed an alliance partnership with SmartTrans (ASX:SMA), a leading provider of mobile infrastructure software for companies engaging in field service or distribution activities.

Datalogic's range of Windows CE mobile computers is now SmartTrans certified.

SmartTrans is Australia's leading developer of mobile application and field management software for business. SmartTrans technology solves the unique challenges involved in efficiently planning and deploying field service staff and controlling the information exchange for field activities.

Anthony Beavis, National Sales Manager of Datalogic, believes the alliance with SmartTrans offers customers greater flexibility in managing mobile and wireless solutions using Datalogic's mobile computers for their supply chain or field based activities.

He adds that SmartTrans offers the premium software of choice for mobile data in Australia and Datalogic's devices are perfectly suited to mobile field applications.

Using SmartTrans' advanced mobile data software, Datalogic can provide service and distribution companies with a one-stop-shop solution, says Beavis.

Under the alliance partnership, SmartTrans e-PoD and SmartTrans e-Solution wireless mobile device management solutions will be integrated with Datalogic's Windows CE mobile computers.

Stephen Walsh, National Sales Manager of SmartTrans, says this alliance brings together two powerful suppliers to the Australian market to provide best-of-breed mobile data solutions for companies engaging mobile field services or activities.

The alliance brings new opportunity and substantial benefits to companies considering using mobile data for field services, says Walsh.
