Danfoss will display a selection of its drives and softstarters on Stand 5603 during National Manufacturing Week 2007 at Melbourne Exhibition & Convention Centre, from May 22 to 25.
Danfoss introduced the mass-produced variable speed drive for AC motors, the VLT, in 1968. For nearly 40 years the company has focused on drives and accessories, building specialist knowledge of the associated technologies, applications and customer needs.
Danfoss says it takes responsibility for every component and element in its products. The company develops and produces its own hardware, software, power modules, printed circuit boards and accessories.
Engineers at Danfoss drives use a modular approach when developing, designing, producing and configuring new drives. All the elements of a new product are developed in parallel, reducing time to market and ensuring that customers enjoy the benefits of new features.
VLT products are manufactured with respect for environment, safety and wellbeing. All activities are planned and performed taking into account the individual employee, the work environment and the external environment.
According to the company, production takes place with a minimum of noise, smoke or other pollution, and waste is disposed of in an environmentally safe manner.
The company has more than 2000 employees in more than 100 countries.
