Industrial Ethernet networking equipment from Daanet

Following the news released in January that Hirschmann Automation and Control has been sold to U.S. specialty cable maker, Belden, the Hirschmann Automation and Control president and CEO Reinhard Sitzmann toured Australia recently to meet with local distributors.

Speaking with Australian distribution representatives from Daanet, Sitzmann praised the work of local distributors, acknowledging their work to place Australia in HAC’s top three rapidly growing regions for industrial Ethernet, along with China and India.

Hirschmann Automation and Control’s range of industrial Ethernet switchgear is represented throughout Australia (except WA) by a network of locally focused distributors whose core business is Rockwell Automation’s Allen-Bradley range of industrial automation and control gear.

This alliance of distributors has formed a business named Daanet to manage the relationship with Hirschmann Automation and Control, and promote its range of industrial Ethernet networking equipment.

Further highlighting the synergies of the acquisition by Belden, Sitzmann also noted that some of these distributors already represent Belden’s cable products for industrial networking applications.

According to Daanet, the Rockwell Automation distributors were looking for products that complemented its product range and met the quality expectations of its customers.

Hirschmann Automation and Control’s range of industrial Ethernet switchgear has garnered recognition of the advantages of an industrial grade switch over that designed with only the commercial environment in mind.
